Mizzou Esports Media Blog

From collegiate esports to Mizzou's campus to the video game industry, we've got it covered.

Meet the Staff

Leading the journalism section in the Mizzou Esports Media Club, Colin Rhoads edits and publishes all content amongst the club. When he’s not editing, you can catch him playing League of Legends or raging at a FromSoftware game.

Lydia Donaldson covers Esports News and the Video Game Industry on the Mizzou Esports Blog. In her free time, Lydia enjoys crocheting and playing all kinds of PC games.

Christina Kasch is a journalist for the Mizzou Esports Media Blog specializing in news within the gaming industry. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys drinking coffee and playing rhythm games.

Shirin Rekabdar-Xavier covers esports content relevant to the MU Community, as well as the ongoings of the wider video game industry. If it wasn’t for farming simulations keeping her distracted, she’d probably be invincible.

Michael Long is a senior studying journalism at Mizzou. Some of his favorite topics are League of Legends, player profiles, and Esports tournaments. When he’s not in class, you can probably find him at Bookmark Café or Columbia’s bike trails.

Jack Butchart is a journalist and broadcast intern for Mizzou Esports. When he isn’t helping with broadcasts or doing homework, he’s most likely struggling to rank up in OW comp.

Yannic Lorenz (left) is a freshman general writer for Mizzou Esports Media. To him the most important criteria for a game to be good is immersion, as such competitive games, especially shooters, are not really his thing.
